The latest beta release represents a big step forward for what is the biggest update to Android in years. Android 12 Beta 2 officially brings along the privacy dashboard that Google showcased at Google I/O, toggles and indicators for microphone/camera, a revamped connectivity experience, and more. Apple iOS 

Apple introduced iOS 15 beta 2 to developers

Apple today introduced iOS 15 beta 2 and iPadOS 15 beta 2 to developers, which are the first updates since the initial release at WWDC 2021 earlier this month. 

  • When you open the Weather app in iOS 15 beta 2 for the first time, you will now see a welcome screen highlighting its new features and refreshed design.

  • SharePlay is a new feature to let users share a song, video, or even the screen of their devices during a FaceTime call. This feature is now working with iOS 15 beta 2.

  • Memojis can be updated with new looks, including the option to set a custom outfit.

iOS 15 Announced with new FaceTime, iMessage, Sharing, Focus, and Privacy Features

Apple has officially unveiled iOS 15, and like many recent rumours and leaks suggested, several far-reaching improvements have come to iMessage and FaceTime. There's also new system-wide emphasis on sharing and communication, as well as even more privacy-related features, and new ways to leverage on-device intelligence. iOS 15 will roll out to iPhone 6s and later devices in fall this year.

HarmonyOS 2.0 

First HarmonyOS 2 Stable update announced

Huawei has announced the first-ever HarmonyOS 2.0 stable update rollout for 18 devices. Simultaneously, the company also began HarmonyOS 2 closed beta recruitment for top Honor devices.

Huawei's HarmonyOS already has 134,000 apps, over 4 million developers have signed on

Eligible devices that migrate to HarmonyOS 2.0 will retain apps and data (the exception being apps that rely on Google Play Services). With backwards compatibility covered, Huawei is looking forward to the future when HarmonyOS will run its own apps instead of ones designed for Android. Huawei announced that over 4 million developers have signed on to build on the Harmony platform and that there are already 134,000 apps using HMS Core.

HarmonyOS 2 supports seamless connection of applications between devices

Huawei HarmonyOS officially stated that HarmonyOS 2 brings a new task center. Users can not only view and manage applications running on different terminals in one stop but also allow applications to seamlessly connect between devices.

Huawei released EMUI June 2021 security patch details

This security update includes the CVE announced in the June 2021 Android security bulletin. It includes 2 Criticals and 13 High levels of CVE’s. According to the track record, the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) system tracks publicly known security vulnerabilities and exposures in publicly released software packages.
